Communalism, Terrorism And Social Perceptions

Communal violence can be orchestrated due to the hatred – ‘negative feelings’ about the ‘other community’. This hatred is generated due to various perceptions; the major of which are rooted in the understanding of history.

In India the root of these perceptions lies in the communal historiography which was introduced by the British rulers who were pursuing the policy of divide and rule .
